These standards govern all journalism published on NewsFellow. They are set by the Chief Editor, Rajkumar Agarwal, and apply to every contributor.
We publish what we can verify. Facts, figures and quotations are checked against primary sources — official filings, regulatory documents, investigation reports and on-record statements — before publication. Where information cannot be independently verified, we either omit it or clearly attribute it to its source.
NewsFellow is editorially independent. No airline, manufacturer, airport operator or advertiser reviews, approves or influences our coverage. Advertising and sponsorship are always clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
When our reporting makes a significant claim about a company or individual, we make a genuine effort to seek their response before publication and reflect it fairly in the story.
Every article ends with a list of the sources it relies on. We link to original documents wherever possible. We use anonymous sources only when information is important, cannot be obtained on the record, and the source's reliability is known to the editor.
Aviation safety stories affect real people. We report accidents and incidents factually, avoid speculation about causes before investigators speak, respect victims and their families, and follow ICAO Annex 13 conventions in describing ongoing investigations.
We correct errors quickly and transparently — see our Corrections Policy.
